Offered a job but need to decide before another interview?
So, I've been on the part-time job hunt for awhile, before the new year, as a student. I think I do well in interviews, I just was having a lot of trouble getting to that stage in applications. I finally got an interview last week, and they called today to tell me they wanted to hire. It's part-time, usually the shifts go into the evenings, 15-20 hrs a week from Thurs-Sun. $18/hr. The people were all really nice, but they want an answer by 4:30pm today (5 hours). The job seemed alright, somewhat relaxed, but parts of it seemed different than what I was expecting. I'd be in a movie theater asking people what they thought if new releases, but I also have to audit things like their gender, ethnicity, etc. and overall just be a little annoying (as I have to interrupt people) in order to get those surveys. Then, I have an interview scheduled for Friday, which would be for a position that I believe, and was told, that I would be a verys torn candidate for. I am really into filmmaking, and I would be able to teach youth fill production 2x a week, for about 8hrs/wk. I have a lot of experience in instructing kids, and I do think I have a good chance at successfully getting this position. Now, both would work around my school schedule, and I'd make more money at the first position (I just might feel a bit gross), but unfortunately I can't decide fully on both as I have to choose on the first job before my interview for the second. What should I do? I could even do both at once, but that might prove to be a lot. I already have classes four days a week. Thanks.PAYE Plan Switch

Got dismissed want to reapply online
So I got dismissed from UF this past fall due to having a GPA lower than 2.0. The thing is I’ve had severe ADHD and I’ve been working with the student healthcare center to help me out and now have significant documentation for a medical withdrawal. I submitted one but they returned it saying they want more details about certain things from my provider. So I scheduled an appointment with a local MD physician who is qualified to write more details and I have that scheduled for the 28th. I am considering reapplying to UF online and the deadline is 27th. If a get the medical petition for the classes I failed, would I have decent odds of getting back in? It’s just been a rough ride being untreated this entire time.How do I remove these boxarts/pico-8 folders from Google Photos?

i was in another reality, i don’t remember how i ended up there but i was there on accident and i was wondering how to get back to my original, in that reality i had accidentally started a fire i guess and someone’s house got burned down, (i just recently finished watching jentry vs the underworld so i think it created some kind of crossed over theme) i think the dream like fast forwarded or something, i don’t know it’s hard to remember and piece it all together, but i was on my bed and there was a man sitting on top of me (he was a man i’ve seen on tiktok before) facing the opposite way, dream me either didn’t think anything of it or i didn’t want to say anything but either way i was just silent but his energy was very uncomfortable, i just felt his energy like hurting me like it was too strong/too much and eventually i just wanted him off of me, then he started breathing heavily and he started leaning closer to me and he got really close to my ear and was breathing heavily into it, i could feel his breath on my ear in the dream and i could hear every word and i felt every strong enunciation through his breath, his energy started to hurt more, i thought i would never forget what he said in the dream since the dream felt so vivid, everything was so vivid but i can’t really remember what he said but i remember he was talking about me burning someone’s house down, he was angry because i burned down his dad’s (i think his dad, he never said it but i knew somehow) house, and he said something like “how is it you turn everything you love into hate” or something like that and i remember dream me or i guess me called on my spirit guides for help because i was uncomfortable and scared, it was like instinct and i swear it felt like my consciousness got pulled back to my body like i could feel the movement, i felt the like whizzing back at the last second and the moment i ended up back in my body or what felt like that moment, i immediately woke up. it literally felt like a scene out of a movie, it felt like i jolted back in my body and i woke up and my breath was shaky and my eyes were shaking and i started crying and popped up to try and calm myself. dreams have to be more than just some subconscious thing, that felt way too real and way too weird and then the moment i call on my spirit guides for help out of what felt like pure instinct and genuine need of help, that’s when i wake up or what honestly felt like coming back from somewhere, like i swear dreams have to be more. i could feel the energy of how unfamiliar that reality felt, i’ve been feeling the energy of a lot of things recently, awake, asleep, in between awake and asleep, it’s like my awareness is more tapped into it now. but now that i’m more awake, the feeling is fading and it feels like none of it even happened, but i know it did and i know it felt weird and scary while i was experiencing it, and recently everytime i go to sleep, something weird in an energetic way happens, but after i wake up it always feels not as impactfulFeeling stuck with my current AR project
I'm a general VA for a US client. I usually do lead generation, content QC, email campaigns, project management, and other small tasks. Last December, I was assigned an AR project using an online development platform. I have a background in basic programming (mostly web dev) dahil undergrad ako sa IT. Sobrang intimidating sa akin yung AR kasi wala akong experience doon, especially with 3D design and terms relating to it. Pero nung binasa ko, nakita kong pwede pala gumamit ng framework (A-Frame), which is parang HTML to create AR projects. After checking sample projects sa platform na yun, I decided to go for it. Excluding my boss, dalawa lang kami sa technical team: a 3D designer and me. We did two test projects, and they worked naman according to the expected output. Pero yung project ngayon, sobrang complicated na kasi kailangan na ng bloom effect, real-time reflections, etc. Wala talaga akong idea how to make the bloom effect work, pero I found a sample project and ginamit ko yung post-processing script from that project at yun, nag-work naman somehow. The problem is na-re-render yung models to low quality. Another issue is hindi ko maintindihan yung script. Sobrang daming foreign terms. My go-to solution is to let chatgpt explain it. Tapos may iba pang technical issues na kailangan i-address. I already reached out for technical support from the platform's Support Team, but they can only help to an extent. To be honest, napapagod na ako. Maybe this is not for me. This reminds me kung bakit hindi ko pinursue yung programming. I dread going to my desk to work (WFH, night shift), and nawawalan na ako ng motivation to keep trying. I know na hindi naman ako ganito when I'm doing tasks that I actually enjoy. Pero pumapasok din sa isip ko na ayokong i-box yung sarili at capabilities ko dun lang sa mga bagay na alam kong gawin. I don’t know if itutuloy ko pa ba 'to or if I should ask my boss to give the project to someone more experienced. Anyway, thanks for reading hanggang dito. After 90 hours, I finally finished the game for the first time with all the DLC. I knew from the start I wanted to romance Dorian, and after siding with the mage, he never left my party. When talking with Dorian, my Inky always wanted to spend the rest of his life with Dorian, have a house in the countryside and work in the field while Dorian teased him from the comfort of the porch. He tried hard to make Dorian leave Tavinter to spend time in the South. When he talked with Cassandra during the event of Trespasser, he was so excited by the idea of asking Dorian for marriage. Still, then his heart broke when Dorian told him that his father was dead and that he had to return to Tavinter. My Inki tried to sympathize with Dorian's loss, but the only thing that came up was Dorian's promise to spend the rest of their time together. He tried hard not to cry, but he was not successful. Now, he spends his free time living in the land Varik gave him and finds the time to visit Dorian in secret by using the skills he got while working as a smuggler for the Carta. Pressing the option to ask about Dorian and my Inky future almost made me cry because I was so attached to their relationship. My bulky Dwarf warrior was the best parter for Dorian sassy mage attitude. This game was so fun.

With a stop off in Las Vegas for an intimate residency, the band's hometown shows brought a sophisticated nostalgia to fans in North America. They heard 'Smile Like You Mean It' and 'Somebody Told Me' through a d&b audiotechnik KSL PA system from Eighth Day Sound's LA location, overseen by account executive Meegan Holmes. Out front, the band's long-time FOH engineer Kenny Kaiser, has been part of the alt pop / rockers’ crew for some years, starting out as a PA technician before eventually taking his mixer position. He begins: "There's a lot of trust between the band and me, and that comes with time. The show must sound the way your artist wants it to, but thankfully, I'm lucky to work with a band that trusts me with the decisions that I make for them. Each album has its own sound and ethos, so you must stay true to those songs and to the fans that have so many memories with them. However, I can add my own 'flavour' to some songs for the more impactful moments throughout the show." Kenny mixes on a Solid State Logic L650 console: "I have been using SSL for a very long time: since version one! I have some great analogue outboard gear that I brought from my studio and started using live: Echo Fix EF-X2 tape delay, a Yamaha SPX90 multi-effects processor and an overstayer processor." He goes on to explain that great results for his FOH mix come when system engineers truly understand acoustics and with d&b, it’s easy to achieve: "With the d&b audiotechnik SL series, if you get the drawings just right, it makes your whole day better. It's quite remarkable how much control there is behind this box." As the Rebel Diamonds world tour ensued, they stepped into The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, while Adele took up her residency in Munich. Here, the band performed a celebratory set of '20 Years of Hot Fuss', highly anticipated shows which marked two decades of break out global success. Toby Donovan, the tour's head of audio / system engineer, worked using Clair Global client Adele's rigging points at the venue, as her motors for the most part, stayed in situ for her return. He says: "In Las Vegas, Adele's system engineer Johnny Keirle gave me a couple of good options in Soundvision and I chose one that gave us a conventional main / side hang configuration. I then used the in-house motors and removed a hang of their center subs and replaced it with six flown d&b audiotechnik SL Series subwoofers. "We all felt the band and audience would benefit from us using d&b as its the product we have been touring with. I chose KSL main hangs and the new XSL side hangs, as these could also be powered by the smaller D40 amplifiers. Driving the system is a DirectOut Prodigy MP (one of many we have performing various critical tasks). These are my go-to processor now. I like their ability to EQ different clusters in a phase linear way, and I do like the workflow and GUI of Globcon." Alongside the DirectOut Globcon control software platform, Toby uses the Smaart v8 and Smaart Suite v9 software for measurement, and d&b ArrayCalc V11 for system design and R1 Remote software for amp control. He continues: "We have had a lot of benefit from the system performance from all our d&b SL Series products, not least as they are cardioid across the range which helps our stage and wedge monitor engineer, Marty Beath. ArrayProcessing is great for giving consistent coverage across the audience area at a decent resolution." To ensure this set up was a total success, Toby reveals that working with Eighth Day Sound for these shows was a great experience: "When we get in touch with Meegan Holmes, Rob Gurton [operations co-ordinator] or any of the Eighth Day Sound team, nothing is too much trouble. Equipment prep is great, anything we need is done immediately and then it all leaves the shop looking great too!” The tour's other monitor engineer, Matt Breunig, takes care of in-ear mixes, playback and sampling keyboard sounds from recorded tracks to give anything frontman Brandon Flowers likes played live on keys to sound identical to the recorded version. Also a fan of SSL desks, Matt says: "Brandon is the only one on wedges and Marty takes care of him and broadcast stems. There are eight band mixes, plus a guest, backline, video, pyro and broadcast mix, and the occasional sign language interpreter mix. I give each band member a mix that sounds as much like a live version of the record as possible. On my SSL 550+ I have my rack DSP usage at about 96 percent to use all the bells and whistles. Each vocal mic has its own reverb too, so there’s zero crosstalk in the mixes. The biggest, and most important, decision for me is my console; it needs to be musical and clean at the same time. The routing flexibility on the SSL, with our massive channel count and all the different mixes, was another huge factor.” Matt, who opts for Shure PSM1000s for monitoring systems and Jerry Harvey Sharona in-ears, furthers: "Everyone's panning in their ears reflects what they are seeing on stage, so their eyes and their ears aren't seeing and hearing two different things. While there are many reverbs to avoid crosstalk, none of them are long delays, most under 1.8 seconds to psychoacoustic trick the brain into not thinking they have earplugs in with drivers. I do everything I can to make them feel they are in a large arena, which we do play most of the time, and even when we are in a smaller club or theatre show, that width and reverb makes a big difference in feeling like they are hearing things naturally even though they’re using in-ears.” Matt points out his experience touring with Eighth Day Sound in North America has been a good one: "We've all been happy; we've all worked with Meegan Holmes in the past, and she's just as awesome as she's ever been!” Stepping in for this tour was Eighth Day Sound’s Ben Olson as RF and monitor technician. He begins: "I had the opportunity to join just before the Vegas residency. Tom Gardner (previous monitor tech) left me with a solid system, and the rig was designed by Marty. The SSL consoles have a few neat features, allowing us to have a fair amount of redundancy: if one of the consoles were to go down, there are a couple ways to continue the show without the band knowing anything may have happened. This makes it easier for me and Austin Stevens, our stage patch tech, to focus on our other responsibilities; I monitor the multi-track recording, Austin keeps an eye on the stage audio.” With the crew recalling how having the right equipment rental partner is crucial for giving the audience and band the production they expect, FOH engineer Kenny concludes: "The people [at Eighth Day Sound] are great, and the support is next level. All the staff in the shop are eager to help - and eager to keep learning as well!" The Killers ended 2024 with more Rebel Diamonds tour dates across Australia with support from Clair Global Group partner, JPJ Audio, before adding further US shows in January and February 2025, once again utilising Eighth Day Sound as their audio vendor of choice in North America."> It was horrible
